Aluoxyd is an aluminum acid, developed for aluminum plates. When applied by a brush, the engraving turns black. This is a chemical reaction, stoppable by rinsing with clear water. It's important to clean the aluminum substrate with nitro or cleaner's solvent before using the aluoxyd. Aluoxyd will only work on untreated aluminum, you can't
use it on anodized aluminum/painted aluminum. A bottle of 100 ml is enough to cover 1m².
